Purpose of the role

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the technical planning, maintenance and performance of related functions to optimise daily professional service operations and assist the Operations Manager to develop a profitable service business unit.


Your key responsibilities will be but not limited to

  • To be a custodian of the brand at all times and demonstrate Kärcher values
  • Performing technical trouble shooting
  • Servicing Professional machines both in the field and in house
  • Driving customer relationships for the Service function in the area of repairs
  • Maintaining Spare Parts Boxes for key customers and product ranges
  • Providing backup and support to service related projects
  • Regularly communicating with Service Manager
  • Controlling van stocks in accordance with customer base – ensuring 5% difference adhered to during all stock takes
  • Perform safety inspections as required
  • Effectively communicating daily with regional scheduler to assist operations
  • Maintaining tools and equipment to a satisfactory and safe condition
  • Travelling to multiple field sites in the Western Suburbs
  • Where required attending reactive weekend on-call work orders


Experience and Attributes

  • Technical Sales or Trade related experience
  • Experience in the service and/or cleaning / forklift industry advantageous
  • Fantastic communication skills
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Self Motivated
  • Physically fit as lifting is involved in day to day routines
  • Full driving license essential
