Regional Sales Manager- North East

 

Purpose of the Role:

 

To be a custodian of the brand, to effectively meet our customers’ needs, and to help build a growing, profitable, sustainable Kärcher. Grow and maintain the profitable growth of Kärcher UK’s Professional business through the progressive development of BDM's/DSM's within your responsibility. Strategic account management focusing on market share growth across target groups.

 

Your key responsibilities will be :

 

Main Tasks

  • To prepare and implement of a sales and marketing plan to achieve a pre-determined budget
  • To work closely with the BDM/DSM’s, KAM's, dealers and end-users, and to understand the customer needs
  • To contribute to the overall company strategy and profit
  • Monitoring sales against each BDM/DSM’s direct and dealer sales target and set KPI’s
  • Check all OneView activity to ensure company objectives are being worked towards
  • To create and manage regional succesion plans future proofing the business to grow the next talent pool
  • Continuous coaching and feedback with all Field sales team regarding sales strategies, problem solving, technical assistance using the tools required
  • Impart knowledge of product application and identify customer groups
  • Attending sales strategy meetings; actively participate in the formulation of sales plans and promotions
  • Working out in the field with BDM/DSM’s, visiting customers and independently visit accounts of all types.
  • Help to enforce the Dealer Policy at all times
  • Working with the Kärcher Center managers to ensure the highest levels of customer service are being met at all times
  • Closely working with the Head of Sales to continually improve our CM2 position
  • To identify new dealer accounts and support DSM’s in the opening and development of these
  • Developing a commercially strong sales force through coaching tools and SFE programme
  • To ensure Dealer Development plans are in place for key accounts, and review in 6 weekly 1-2-1s

 

 

Leadership requirements

 

  • Selects, recruits and on-boards new team members with support from HR
  • Devise and agree training plan for new starters – with support from L&D
  • Achieves team results by clarifying and communicating expectations for the role and the team
  • Conducts full reviews for new starters, completing necessary probationary review documentation in agreed timescale
  • Goals and competencies to be agreed and set at the beginning of the year (or when new starter commences) and recorded in Success Factors by the specified deadline date
  • Regular reviews – at least bi-monthly to reviews goals, competencies, KPI's and well being
  • End of year review to be conducted and recorded in Success Factors by the specified deadline date
  • Personal development Plan to be discussed, created and agreed for each team member.  Attach to Success Factors
  • Assess and discuss training requirements – review during bi-monthly reviews.  Support available from L&D/Academy
  • Regularly communicates business updates, team KPIs and strategy
  • Coaches, mentors, delivers feedback in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Addresses performance and conduct issues in a timely manner – commence disciplinary action if required.  Full support from HR

 

Your qualifications and experience are :

  • GCSE A-C (9-4) or equivalent in Maths & English
  • Full product knowledge of planning and budgeting
  • Significant business development expertise within the cleaning equipment sector
  • Able to build & maintain working relationships both internally and externally Confident, creative and highly commercial
