Your Mission
As our Application Specialist, you’ll take ownership of Kärcher’s SAP and EDI landscape in the Nordics. You’ll ensure smooth operations of our Seeburger EDI platform, onboard new customers, and maintain seamless data flows for orders, invoices, and responses.
You’ll also be the go-to SAP expert for modules related to Sales, Order Management, Inventory, and Purchasing, supporting integrations with Excel, POS, and web based solutions.
A key part of your role will be leading the upgrade from SAP R/3 to S/4HANA, shaping the future of our business systems.
Beyond SAP and EDI, you’ll oversee related IT infrastructure such as Point of Sale (Cash IT, servers and network.
You will also working closely with suppliers and supporting the transition of services to our global HQ in Germany.
Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of EDI solutions using standards such as EDIFACT and Peppol, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Perform daily handling and setup of new customers for all key EDI transactions (Order, Orderespons, Desadv, and Invoice) using Seeburger (EDIFACT / NemHandel / EHF / Svefatura / OIOUBL / Peppol).

Maintain and create new integration Solutions towards SAP, like Point of Sale, Customer Information, Prices, Logistic and Warehouse solutions.

Provide application knowledge and support for SAP R/3 to S/4 migration for Order, Invoice, Warehouse, and Purchase modules, including SAP Print Server and Windows Client setup (excluding Finance, Project Order, and Leasing).

Manage, maintain, and support a variety of systems including Fileserver, DHCP, Webbserver, SQL Server, Microsoft AD Servers, Evatic, and Certificate server, with a long-term focus on migrating to headquarter (Servers and Networks) and Office 365 support via AIXIA.

Conduct detailed analysis of business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for EDI systems.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external trading partners to establish, test, and troubleshoot EDI transactions.

Monitor EDI processes and performance metrics, proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements.

Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on EDI best practices, troubleshooting, and optimization techniques.
Required qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience in EDI development, with a strong understanding of EDI standards and protocols.

Proficiency in EDI mapping tools, specifically Seeburger, and standards like EDIFACT, NemHandel, EHF, Svefatura, OIOUBL, and Peppol.

Experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python for EDI processing, specifically Visual Basic, Seeburger Basic, C#, and SQL.

Solid experience with SAP R/3 and knowledge of S/4 transition, focused on logistical processes.

Proficiency in Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) for application development and back-end process optimization.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of debugging complex EDI issues.

Working knowledge of various server and network components, including Microsoft AD, Evatic, and backup procedures.
Preferred qualifications:

Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.

Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional SAP/ABAP code and a strong understanding of relevant business processes.

Experience working with supply chain, logistics, or retail industries, including knowledge of Weland PaterNoster Warehouse, Evatic

Knowledge of cloud-based EDI solutions and integration platforms, with familiarity on potential EDI Server migration to Cloud or AKW.

Experience with Office 365, Access databases, and handling SAP-driven Excel/SQL data.

Project Management, Google Workspace, and experience with AI tools (Gemini or Open AI).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

Expertise in EDI standards (EDIFACT / NemHandel / EHF / Svefatura / OIOUBL / Peppol) and mapping, especially Seeburger.

Proficiency in using EDI mapping tools and EDI document standards.

Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, or Python, with proficiency in Visual Basic, Seeburger Basic, C#, and SQL.

Experience with integration technologies, such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, and middleware solutions.

Knowledge of nShift (via Seeburger) and related delivery systems.

Familiarity with server infrastructure, including DHCP, Webbserver, and Radius.
