Nordic Senior OTC Accountant

To strengthen our Nordic finance team, we are now seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Nordic OTC Accountant.

 Preferred Location: Rødovre (Denmark), Nurmijärvi (Finland), Oslo (Norway), or Gothenburg (Sweden)

Your Key Responsibilities

In this senior role, you will take full ownership of the Nordic Order-to-Cash (OTC) process. You will be a vital link between our customers, our Shared Service Center (KGS), and the local business, ensuring the financial health and efficiency of our accounts receivable operations. This is a broad and impactful position where you will not only manage daily operations but also drive process improvements, provide key financial insights, and act as the backup for the Accounting Service Manager. Your responsibilities will include:

• Own the Nordic OTC Process: Take full ownership of the end-to-end Order-to-Cash cycle, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and a seamless collaboration with our Shared Service Center.

• Manage Credit & Collections: Drive the entire debtor collection process, from managing dunning runs and communicating with third-party agencies to maintaining professional and effective customer contact.

• Oversee Invoicing & Rebates: Handle complex invoicing tasks, including intercompany billing and specific customer accounts (e.g., Kärcher Rental, Car Wash), and take full responsibility for managing customer rebates.

• Deliver Financial Reporting & Analysis: Compile and analyze key metrics such as DSO, accounts receivable aging, and cash flow forecasts. You will provide management with valuable insights to support strategic decisions and identify customer trends.

• Drive Process Automation & Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline the OTC workflow. You will lead initiatives to automate processes and leverage AI tools to boost efficiency and enhance your daily work.

• Ensure Internal Control & Compliance: Maintain robust internal controls for key business areas, manage payment reconciliations, and ensure all activities comply with company policies. You will be a key resource during year-end and interim audits.

• Provide Key Support: Act as the backup for the Accounting Service Manager and serve as a central point of contact by managing finance inboxes and incoming calls.

Your Profile

You are a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive finance professional with a passion for process improvement. You possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced, international environment.

Essential Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; or a CPA/CMA certification.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, with strong knowledge of accounts receivable and the OTC process.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and a demonstrated ability to analyze data and resolve issues proactively.

• A continuous improvement mindset with a genuine interest in automation and new technologies.

• Professional fluency in English. Proficiency in a Nordic language is an advantage.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with SAP and SAC.

• Advanced skills in Google Sheets and the Google Workspace suite.

• Professional certifications such as FAR (Sweden).
