Service Technician & Team Lead

Kärcher, the global leader in cleaning technology, is seeking a driven Technician with Lead to be a central part of our After Market & Service organization at our Swedish headquarters in Gothenburg.
As a Technician with Lead, you will be a key link between our technicians, customers, and local management. Your primary purpose is to ensure the operational readiness and efficiency of our professional cleaning machines while fostering a high-performing, motivated team (approx. 4 technicians).
This is a combined technician role, where you will spend approximately 50% of your time on complex, hands-on service and troubleshooting, and 50% leading, planning, and coordinating your team's daily work.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Coordination:

Manage your team with full personnel responsibility and lead with a coaching, clear approach.

Plan, prioritize, and coordinate the daily work and allocation of incoming assignments in the company's CRM system (Oneview/Resco).

Follow up on your team’s KPIs for customer satisfaction, productivity, and attendance rate, ensuring targets are achieved.

Responsible for achieving add-on sales goals for spare parts, equipment, and detergents within your team.

Own the dialogue with external service partners when needed.
System Maintenance, Repair, and Troubleshooting:
Perform complex diagnostics, service, and repairs on a variety of professional cleaning equipment, ensuring work is performed according to Kärcher's quality standards.
Specialized Technical Focus:

High-Pressure Systems: Inspect, repair, or replace seals, valves, pistons, and unloader systems in high-pressure pumps.

Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Diagnose and rectify faults in hydraulic circuits, and maintain pneumatic systems (compressors, valves, actuators).

Engines & Heaters: Service and repair diesel/gasoline combustion engines and troubleshoot ignition, fuel supply, and exhaust issues in water heaters/boilers.

Floorcare: Troubleshoot AC/DC drive motors, gearboxes, large-capacity battery packs (e.g., Lithium-ion), and complex control units (ECUs).

Robotics: Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot autonomous navigation components (LiDAR, sensors), and perform software/firmware updates on robotic platforms.

Documentation: Accurately analyze and interpret complex technical and electrical schematics to aid in guided troubleshooting and system verification after repair.
Qualifications

Technical high school diploma or Vocational University (YH) degree in a relevant field (e.g., Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Automation Technology, or Mechatronics).

Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in service, maintenance, or complex troubleshooting within the machinery, vehicle, or industrial sector, covering electrical, mechanical, and basic control systems.

Documented experience as a Shift Supervisor, or Senior Technician with responsibility for coordinating/planning the daily work for a team.

High-pressure pumps, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Water heaters, Combustion engines, Technical schematics, Electrical schematics, Clear communication, Fluent English speaking, Strong system proficiency (CRM).

Minimum B Driver’s Licence, preferable BE.
