Management Trainee - Sales Executive - Kärcher Center Newcastle

 

Purpose of the role

You will be a future custodian of the Kärcher brand, developing your skills through bespoke training delivered by our in-house training academy. You will be taught how to deliver best-in-class customer service; whilst providing cleaning solutions that show tangible production/operational efficiencies that remove cost from the customers' bottom line. You will be given the knowledge and know-how to improve health and safety standards for your customers whilst minimising the customers' impact on the environment around them.

 

Your key responsibilities will be

Supporting the profitable and sustainable growth of the Kärcher Center Newcastle whilst ensuring the delivery of best-in-class customer service. You will also be growing the regional market share by securing new business accounts that align with our long term strategy and value proposition. You will advise a wide range of customers in all aspects of sales and service of Kärcher products in person, over the phone and/or on end user sites. You will conduct demonstrations of our solutions across a variety of industry environments, whilst testing, measuring and subsequently presenting the recorded benefits to the end user.

 

Main Tasks

  • Working with the Kärcher Center Manager to build and deliver an aggressive growth plan for key markets
  • Growing existing customer account base via targeted activity
  • Supporting the team with its operational and supply chain responsibilities that ensure the Kärcher Center's support functions are optimised, enabling you to deliver a best-in-class service to customers
  • Assisting customers with sales, queries and after sales service on Kärcher products
  • Attending sales and product training sessions delivered via our in-house training academy (mixed learning modules E-learning/live webinars and in-person sessions delivered at our Head Office in Banbury, Oxfordshire)
  • Supporting the administration required to keep the business operating within the standards set by Kärcher   
  • Integrating yourself within regional business networks and associations with the aim of improving local awareness of the Kärcher Center, the Kärcher brand and its cleaning solutions

 

Your qualifications, experience and characteristics are

  • 3 GCSEs at a minimum of Grade C or equivalent, including English and Maths
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role or showroom/sales experience
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues quickly
  • Fantastic communication skills, at both levels, written and verbal
  • You might be highly organised and able to meet deadlines
  • IT literate, proficient at using MS Office and CRM systems
