Warehouse Associate 4 - Inventory Specialist - 1st Shift - Fayetteville, AR

Maintain inventory accuracy for specific parts and areas of the company on a daily basis by performing the following essential duties.


Inventory Specialist

Reports to: Inventory Manager


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform requested and routine cycle counts accurately by taking all variables into account.
  • Analyze cycle count results for root cause and participate in finding solutions to eliminate root causes.
  • Assist with the preparation, execution, and evaluation of the annual physical inventory.
  • Review inventory reconciliation report and research root causes for discrepancies. Make necessary corrections to inventory accordingly.
  • Support shipping and hold orders on a daily basis to satisfy our customers.
  • Assist receiving and purchasing with GR/IR research.
  • Assist quality and operations support specialist in research and resolution to IQR's.
  • Maintain locations in the warehouse.


Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains stock supplies for printers and supplies for picking by communicating to Team Leader when supplies are needed.
  • Helps in other areas of the department when time allows.
  • Keeps area neat, clean and orderly.
  • Will perform any and/or all listed proficiencies and duties in Warehouse 1 & 3.


Supervision Received

Daily priorities are established by supervisor but employee is expected to evaluate and respond to new situations which require immediate attention. Work is frequently checked while in progress and end results are reviewed.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)


  • At least (one, two, 3-4) year(s) of related experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must have forklift certification or be able to quickly achieve certification.
  • Shall be able to perform any and/or all listed proficiencies and duties in Warehouse 1 & 3.


Language Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.


Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.



While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.  The employee is occasionally required to climb. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.




Conditions are that of a normal warehouse environment, which can be extremely hot or cold based on outside weather conditions. Noise levels are consistent with forklift traffic.
