Ensure the Quality and Integrity of the Distrubution chain to support customer and service requirments. Direct overall distrubution, production, and facility actives by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides a key role with research and analysis for Logistics projects to include: product distribution and alignments within SAP; transportation management systems; advanced planning (APO) and MRP upgrades; order management and fulfillment requirements.
  • Analysis is required for day to day business development of benchmarking; and data collection in order to understand and develop business structure, cost and logistics trends and logistics metrics (KPIs) for presentation and dissemination.
  • Project analysis requires precise gap analysis; process definition, measurable business and logistics improvements to support the overall strategic development of the team objectives
  • A key element of this position requires refined project scheduling, cost and budget analysis, risk assessments, and timeline development for delivery of critical logistics requirements.
  • Additional requirements include assistance with (i) bi-monthly reports for review and submission to the executive team; and (ii) presentations to support strategy or position papers for Logistics case studies for capital funded projects.
  • Coordinate the development and completion of all training documents to support specific projects, system changes, and system upgrades, etc.
  • Serve as an integrated liaison with the IT team to plan, collaborate and communicate on the technological requirements to help solve critical inter logistics projects.
  • Advise on new and efficient business process improvements that contribute to a Lean distribution and six sigma focused culture of Quality.
  • Collect, analyze, coordinate and disseminate critical metrics ( KPI’s) with insightful and intelligent analysis of trends, and recommendations to the Operations Leadership team.
  • Direct, coordinate and plan the daily operational activities of the logistics team.
  • Manage and control all warehouse inventories
  • Manage spending to budget requirements
  • Support and motivates area personnel in the achievement of department safety, cost, quality, and performance goals
  • Lead continuous improvement activities to maximize efficiently within warehouse processes
  • Develop team environment through effective coaching, mentoring, training, and regular performance feedback.
  • Maintain department metrics, reports, process documentation, training, and  safety records
  • Perform or delegates staff interviews and performance counseling.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures and allocate resources to meet performance needs
  • Confer and coordinate activities with other management, functions, accounting, and human resources
  • Oversees and maintains a continuous program of preventative maintenance on all Material handling equipment.




Other duties assigned





Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in business, logistics, or engineering, and/or equivalent experience. Minimum of 8 years operational or related experience including supervisory or management experience.



Management and/or supervisory of logistic centers. Facilities maintenance experience. Lean Manufacturing experience preferred including experience with cross functional teams and pull inventory management. Demonstrated spreadsheet, database, and word processing experience.
