Painter II - Aurora, Colorado



Operate the automated and or manual Powder Coat Paint lines necessary to produce parts for production while meeting the schedule.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in all Paint Line Operator I job requirements.
  • Must be able to operate both the Batch and Auto Powder Coat paint lines
  • Must be able to write and understand work instructions/processes.
  • Make required adjustments to correct flaws/non-conformances in coating.
  • Adjust pressures and paint flows at each spray station when applicable.
  • Maintain specified temperature and titration in wash tank and cure ovens.
  • Troubleshoot equipment if applicable.
  • Must be able to schedule daily instructions and perform duties.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).



2 years related experience or training required.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to write and understand work instructions/processes.
  • Previous experience with powder-based paint process is required.


Language Skills

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words in English and recognized similarities and difference between words and between series of number. Ability to print and speak simple sentences


Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.



While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with arms and hands. Standing for 8 hours and frequent walking required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.



While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to airborne particles. The area can become overly warm due to multiple oven heat.  The noise level in the work environment is usually high, proper protective equipment is required.
