Social Media Marketing Manager



Purpose of the role:

Reporting into the Head of D2C, you will combine marketing and social media management skills to architect and enhance Kärcher UK’s social media presence, including interacting with customers, promoting brand-focused interactive and engaging content, and expanding opportunities for revenue. You will work with marketing team members to create innovative social media campaigns.



 Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Creating and implementing all paid and organic social media for Karcher UK. This includes, but is not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.
  • End to end ownership of Social Media activity from campaign and budget planning, to content ideation, and implementation.
  • Share plans with all relevant stakeholders including marketing, sales and customer service teams.
  • Executing briefs and providing support for other internal teams - this may include planning, executing activity to drive direct sales on karcher.co.uk, brand campaigns or support and best practice for our B2B business.
  • Ensuring brand consistency in marketing and social media messages by working with various company department members, including advertising, product development, and brand management
  • Provide training and guidance where appropriate to internal team members on social media implementation best practices and strategies
  • Utilise the data available on social media platforms and create comprehensive reports to help inform and improve future marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Grows and expands company social media presence into new social media platforms, plus increases presence on existing platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Work closely with our customer service team to help resolve customer queries, support with best practice and share information on upcoming activity
  • Monitor social trends and explore where relevant, new opportunities
  • Work with our head office in Germany, contributing to global social media strategy and working with colleagues from other countries to share best practice.
  • Research and monitors activity of company competitors



Your qualifications and experience ideally are:

  • Degree or equivalent in  Communications or Marketing,
  • Experience of general social media platforms and management
  • Experience creating paid ad campaigns with Facebook/Instagram
  • Confident in data analysis and able to provide clear reporting and derive insight
  • Understanding of the broader digital landscape: search, display, video
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills, Attention to Detail
  • Self-Motivated, Creative Problem-Solving Skills
