Inventory Clerk


Purpose of the role:

To manage the stock in external locations including overseeing perpetual inventory checks and reduction of excess, slow/non-moving, discontinued and provisioned lines held.  To keep sales channels informed of the equipment available for sale via Kärcher Used Equipment (KUE) and to ensure inventory KPI information is up to date ready for regular monthly review.


Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Oversee perpetual inventory checks in line with company policy for external storage locations including Kärcher Ireland
  • Compile monthly graphs to show the status of a number of stock KPI’s ready for review in a monthly inventory meeting
  • Update and distribute the list of Kärcher Used Equipment (KUE) available for sale to relevant channels and process received orders
  • Working with external location owners to identify and reduce the amount of  excess, slow/non-moving, discontinued and provisioned lines held
  • Create and assign new storage locations on SAP and complete initial stock training for new starters
  • Monthly reconcile of stock held with our rework partner ensuring scrap and parts usage is correctly recorded
  • Assist DSV with relocation queries from external locations
  • Ad hoc reports and projects as and when requested by Head of Inventory


Your qualifications and experience are:

  • 3 GCSEs, or equivalent, including Maths and English
  • Clear, effective communcation skills - both written and verbal
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • Methodical
  • An intermediate level of Excel
  • Ability to work to deadlines
