PURPOSE


Demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and company objectives. You will help identify opportunities for value generation, evaluate, develop and manage suppliers, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, negotiating and managing contracts, contribute to the overall business strategy and help improve overall supply chain performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the global commodity procurement activities to achieve variable cost productivity, cash flow, and controllership goals for assigned commodities.
• Lead the global supplier selection, qualification, development, and overall supplier management, including managing the entire contract life cycle from Request for Proposal to supplier exit
• Develop technical and market expertise in assigned commodity areas
• Enforce business policies to meet business targets and customer needs
• Improve procurement processes and optimize Sourcing resources to enhance the customer experience
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement direct material productivity ideas to minimize total cost
• Monitor, forecast and develop strategies for assigned commodities to minimize costs and ensure product availability
• Ensure fulfillment and quality requirements are achieved by suppliers
• Team with logistics and commercial teams to ensure adequate regional capacities exist to minimize transportation costs and meet localization requirements
• Negotiate best value while maintaining the highest quality of goods and services
• Work on global strategic supply contracts and agreements that will help address supply chain needs and deliver long-term value
• Interface with Karcher global teams on company-wide strategic sourcing initiatives
• Manage and mentor Direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college

Experience
Must have 5+ years of experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Prior sourcing experience in negotiating, identifying opportunities, selecting suppliers, sourcing strategy, and implementing contracts.
• Strong quantitative and data analysis skills
• Strong project management and process improvement skills
• Change agent with ability to influence at all levels of the organization
• CPM or APICS certification is preferred
• SAP Purchasing system experience is preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Base Salary

$90,000 - $120,000 DOE
