Senior Accountant- Aurora, CO
purpose
Senior Staff Accountant is a key member of the accounting team responsible for the accurate recording, reconciling and presentation of financial information. This role performs all related accounting functions required to maintain the general ledger in compliance with the company’s consolidation manual and company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Month-end close responsibilities including preparation and posting of complex journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and analysis on a timely basis
- Perform variance analysis and forecast balance sheet accounts
- Resolve unusual monthly variances through investigation and communication with colleagues
- Year-end closing responsibilities including preparation of schedules and reports for annual external audit
- Initiate process improvement recommendations and drive projects to completion. Create and update related documentation
- Cross-train with team members
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
CPA or CMA certification preferred
Experience
5+ years relevant general accounting experience required
Large international manufacturing experience preferred
Working knowledge and recent SAP experience
Advanced functions in Microsoft Excel

Base Salary $80,000- $90,000 a year
Incentive Plan Karcher Incentive Plan (KIP) - up to 10% of annual salary
