Quality Data Analyst - Aurora, Colorado

 

purpose

Develop and standardize the quality data management process across KNA plants. Responsible for administration of customer service/field quality data intake, distribution, and tracking.  Close loop on quality investigations and ensure completion of tasks assigned to production Quality teams. Contact customers (dealers and end users) regarding field issues and facilitate satisfactory closure of complaints. Manage and publish corporate and ops quality metrics’ reports, plus ad hoc reports as requested. Participate in projects with Quality managers and engineers and support with data collection and schedule management.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect and manage Quality data from all sources/software types—voice of customer, warranty, metrics/KPI’s, monthly reporting
  • Develop and publish reports using data collected for internal and external audiences
  • Identify improvement opportunities by analyzing data contained in reports and showing trends
  • Develop use of Quality Dashboard/Smartbox/Taskbox tools for KNA
  • Assist in integration of SAP Quality Module into Monterrey, Mexico facility and support benchmarking between plants to achieve best practices for SAP QM use
  • Support Quality/Service Councils by providing data and tracking open topics to closure
  • Administrator of Infonet/Zendesk systems for Quality and Customer Service (until Q1 2021)
  • Contact dealers/end users regarding field issues to collect information and use PDCA cycle to close problem reports with permanent countermeasures

 

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead small teams for short term problem solving events
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Supervision Received

General supervision is received for direction of work, and employee can be expected to work without daily contact from supervisor. Employee plans work and manner of performance to meet defined work plans or objectives within timeframe assigned without supervisor follow up.  Routine tasks are performed independently, but unusual or critical circumstances are subject to consultation with supervisor.

 

Supervision Exercised

As assigned for projects but this role has no direct reports.

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education

 

Degree in a technical, engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university and/or equivalent experience in manufacturing quality/data analysis

 

Experience

2 or more years of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment and/or direct knowledge of Karcher’s line of products and services including technical services

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Access
  • Working knowledge of SAP Quality Module and Production Planning/ERP software
  • Working knowledge of Infonet/Zendesk software and ability to build reports within these frameworks/import and export data from them
  • Able to learn/become proficient in internal software used for data collection from production equipment (test benches) and Quality Audit software (QA database)
  • Working knowledge of Smartbox and Taskbox applications
  • Familiar with Karcher produced products, goods and services a plus
  • Understanding of Root Cause and Six Sigma methods/Lean Manufacturing concepts

 

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read/write data-driven reports, technical reports, and summaries for a variety of audiences.  Ability to communicate professionally over the phone/email with end users and dealers and provide customer service/technical support communications.

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly required to stand, walk and sit, sometimes for long periods.   Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Able to use a computer for extended periods.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Traditional office / manufacturing / assembly / fabrication / warehouse environments with variations to temperature related to the seasons, with typical warehouse heating and cooling. The work environment includes noise related to manufacturing equipment, fork truck traffic, tool operation, and related activities. Travel required, <10% annually.
