Press Brake Operator - Aurora, CO
Purpose
The Machine Operator will be able to perform various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines. They will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Must demonstrate proficiency in all Operator I job requirements.
- Ability to manually setup non-CNC machines (i.e Drill Press, Band Saw, Mill, Lathe)
- Has proficiency in Flat Pattern Development and basic trigonometric functions.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
Experience
Minimum 3 years related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Has used hand routers, hand drills, band saw, hand grinder, air ratchets, impact wrench, and other hand tools to produce parts.
- Possesses basic computer skills.
- Retains information well.
- Able to work in fast paced environment.
- Possesses good hand-eye coordination.
- Able to apply basic mathematical concepts to work being done.
- Must have 3 years’ experience setting up CNC Metal Processing Equipment (i.e Press Brake, Laser, NC Punch, CNC Mill/Lathe)

Language Skills
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words in English and recognized similarities and difference between words and between series of number. Ability to print and speak simple sentences
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with arms and hands. Standing for 8 hours and frequent walking required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually high, proper protective equipment is required.
