Manufacturing Operations Business Analyst - Aurora, Colorado

Reporting to the Manager, IT O&ISC & EDI, the Manufacturing Operations Business Analyst works directly with the Manufacturing Operations team members (Production, Scheduling, Planning, Materials Management, Engineering, Distribution, Logistics, and Quality) to build and manage a pipeline of projects and enhancements.  The candidate must have experience defining and operating business processes in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Production Planning and Quality, including data analysis and reporting. The position liaises with business and IT resources to determine the scope, priority, and timing of specific projects.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following list:


  • Benchmark current and future processes against best industry practices
  • Develop a roadmap of projects and initiatives for enablement of new capabilities
  • Supports existing systems in daily manufacturing operations
  • Provide first level support for system issues
  • Provide process and system training
  • Ensure that all work is end-user focused, with a strong attention to detail during all phases of the project lifecycle including discovery, initiation, requirements, design, development, testing and implementation
  • Engage in efforts to establish scope and business case for new projects and initiatives
  • Ensures adoption of consistent processes, strategies and technology
  • Collaborate with internal IT resources
  • Plan and manage user acceptance testing activities.
  • Research emerging technologies that will increase productivity, flexibility, and innovation
  • Retrieve data from various database platforms to design and deploy reports from the data.
  • Serves as liaison to business and IT teams to identify issues, create and implement solutions to include the following SAP modules (PP, MM, EWM, SD, and QM)
  • Interacts frequently with business process owners.



  • This position is expected to have experience defining and operating business processes in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Production Planning and Quality, including data analysis and reporting.   
  • Experience to be able to work in a largely independent and proactive manner, in alignment with Kärcher's values and business strategies.
  • This position will receive guidance from the Manager, IT O&ISC & EDI


Supervision Exercised:

  • This position does not have any direct reports.





  • University degree in the field of computer science, information systems, engineering or business administration is preferred. 



  • At least three years’ experience within a business function (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Distribution, or Engineering) with business analysis or business process improvement activity required


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with SAP EWM preferred
  • Previous involvement in the deployment or optimization of an MES system a plus
  • Ability to design, manage and optimize business processes.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects/priorities.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative group
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite of products, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Visio, the internet and project management software
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly complex matrix organization
  • Superior customer relationship skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in building and maintain interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and align key stakeholders.
  • Expertise in all Microsoft applications, general ERP systems


Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common inquiries from customers (internal and external). Ability to create proper escalation of issues and communicate daily metrics to appropriate audience. Must be able to communicate in group settings in professional manner with other tools, such as telecom, video, and audio devices.
  • Understands, reads, writes, and communicates in English.



  • The job will be performed in both a typical office and manufacturing floor environment.  The noise level could be nosy at times.

Base Salary

$75,000 - $90,000 - DOE

Incentive Plan

Karcher Incentive Plan (KIP) - up to 10% annual salary
