CNC Progrmmer - Aurora, CO 

 

purpose

The ability to program CNC machines such as Lasers, Press Brake’s, Punch Press and other CNC controlled equipment using 3D models and programming software.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • May include but not limited to.
  • Reads and understands engineering drawings, work instructions, schematic drawings, and following verbal instructions regarding work assignments.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing conditions of material such as bend deductions, bend radii, tooling selections of NC punch for proper tool clearance, tolerences.
  • Knowledge of G-codes which involves editing and modifying programs.
  • Familiar with basic use of inspection tools such as height gauge, calipers, micrometes,etc.
  • Operates computer equipment to access job information (e.g., drawings, models, specifications, and other online information systems)
  • Perform Job tasks that include uploading/downloading programs and creating/editing CNC programs.
  • Requires minimal supervision with regard to machine set up.
  • Able to multi-task and maintain work space with several projects simultaneously.
  • Obtains a first piece and last piece inspection on every production run.
  • Produces parts according to set specifications.
  • Ability to properly communicate manufactiability of parts.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working area.
  • Must be able to mutitask and manage other admin resposablities.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education

High school diploma or general education degree(GED).

 

Experience

Must have 2 years experience with Manufacturing Programming software (i.e TruTOPs, Surfcam, MasterCAM, Solidworks)

Must be perficent in Robotics Programming and setup.

Understanding Engineering drawings.

Other computer software experiance includes Microsoft Office, SAP, Excel

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working in a fast pace environment and retain information.
  • CNC machining, measuring tools, hand held tools, power tools.
  • Understands and is knowledgeable about machine shop theory and procedures as well as machinability of composite materials (i.e., cutting speed, feed rates for materials being machined)
  • Understands and coordinate system used with CNC to identify multiple axes (e.g., X, Y, Z, U, and W)
  • Able to understand paperwork and fill it out.
  • Having organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with hand tools is preferred but not required. Employee must demonstrate proficiency on the following tools within 90 days;
  • Ability to work around heavy machinery and fork lifts/ Operate and drive machinery.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read, write, and understand basic English

 

Mathematical Skills

The ability to comprehend basic high school math which includes multiplication, division and trig.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Able to bend, twist, push, pull, lift a minumim of 25 pounds repeatly. Able to work in warm climate between 80 - 100 degrees during shift.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Works in a warehouse/manufacturing environment that can be noisy and dusty.

Base Salary

$24.00 - $32.00
