Assembly Tester 2

The salary range for this position is $23.00 to $27.00/hourly

 

This is how you WOW:

  • Receives machinery from manufacturing and using an automatic test bench, hooks up and tests the machine to pre-determined testing parameters by following work instructions and instructions given on test bench screen.  Able to test at 100% of machine variants produced
  • Provide written and/or electronic identification on all nonconforming materials discovered through the inspection and testing process.
  • Perform visual inspections of the machinery for quality of workmanship.  Includes looking for leaks, cross threaded/loose fasteners, wrong/missing parts, paint defects, and label/serial plate accuracy.
  • Able to perform simple repairs such as stopping a leak by tightening a clamp or belt, touching up paint, improving fit/gaps with adjustments to fasteners.
  • Able to take on small projects from Quality/Engineering such as new part tryout testing, engineering change validations, fit/finish review for fabrication changes, with assistance from the Lead. Other duties as assigned.

 

It would be WOW if you would bring this in:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of tester and assembly experience.
  • Familiarity with hand tools is preferred but not required. Employee must demonstrate proficiency on the following tools within 90 days;
    • Hand / air screwdriver, nut driver, tape machine, adjustable wrench, cable tie gun, wire cutter/stripper/crimper, hammer, hand and air ratchet, needle nose pliers, torque wrench, torque gun, knife, scissors, tape measure, ring pliers, vice grip, vice, hand press, hose cutter, tap, banding machine, rivet gun, lift table, air chunks, air impact, stapler, foam gun, nail gun, heat gun, electric drill, and scrapper.
  • Ability to work around heavy machinery and forklifts.
  • Ability to work with gasoline, diesel, propane, antifreeze and high voltage testing equipment.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with arms and hands.
  • Standing for 8 hours and frequent walking required.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to airborne particles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually high, proper protective equipment is required.
