ASSEMBLER - AURORA, CO

 

purpose

Responsible for following procedures for product assembly, equipment operation and safety requirements. Build exceptional products for on time shipment to meet customer quality and performance exceptions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform repetitive line assembly operations to mass-produce various products. Accomplish various production assembly functions complicated.
  • Build and prepare product for shipment on or before customer expectation with exceptional quality
  • Follow work instructions. Assemble products or sub-assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams.
  • Effectively and efficiently use hand tools, power tools and production equipment, fit various parts together, such as pumps, motors, and un-loaders to produce pressure washers, parts washer or water cleaning systems.
  • Bore holes in the chassis for final assembly when needed using air drills.
  • Position / align parts in specified openings and screw or bolt them in place.
  • Assemble electrical components and wiring, read electrical diagrams and troubleshoot.
  • Preform machine plumbing assembly.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience

No prior experience is required. 1 year of assembly experience preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with hand tools is preferred but not required. Employee must demonstrate proficiency on the following tools within 90 days;
    • Hand / air screw driver, nut driver, tape machine, adjustable wrench, cable tie gun, wire cutter/stripper/crimper, hammer, hand and air ratchet, needle nose pliers, torque wrench, torque gun, knife, scissors, tape measure, ring pliers, vice grip, vice, hand press, hose cutter, tap, banding machine, rivet gun, lift table, air chunks, air impact, stapler, foam gun, nail gun, heat gun, electric drill, and scrapper.
  • Ability to work around heavy machinery and fork lifts.
  • Operate and drive machinery.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words in English and recognized similarities and difference between words and between series of number. Ability to print and speak simple sentences

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with arms and hands. Standing for 8 hours and frequent walking required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually high, proper protective equipment is required.
