Assembly (2nd Shift) - Aurora, CO 

 

Purpose

Responsible for following procedures for product assembly, equipment operation and safety requirements. Build exceptional products for on time shipment to meet customer quality and performance exceptions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in all Assembler I job requirements
  • Must be proficient with the Red Tag process for non-conforming parts
  • Must be proficient with and able to utilize 2-bin and Kan Ban systems
  • Must be able to understand/follow works instructions, standardized work and quality checkpoints
  • Have basic understanding of Warehouse Management parts location
  • Must be proficient and certified with electrical ground test procedures (Hi-Pot)
  • Must understand and properly interpret standard work instructions and where to locate them
  • Must be capable of assembling two or more stations at standard rate
  • Must understand torgue settings

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience

12 to 18 months assembly experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with hand tools is preferred but not required. Employee must demonstrate proficiency on the following tools within 90 days;
    • Hand / air screw driver, nut driver, tape machine, adjustable wrench, cable tie gun, wire cutter/stripper/crimper, hammer, hand and air ratchet, needle nose pliers, torque wrench, torque gun, knife, scissors, tape measure, ring pliers, vice grip, vice, hand press, hose cutter, tap, banding machine, rivet gun, lift table, air chunks, air impact, stapler, foam gun, nail gun, heat gun, electric drill, and scrapper.
  • Ability to work around heavy machinery and fork lifts.
  • Operate and drive machinery.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words in English and recognized similarities and difference between words and between series of number. Ability to print and speak simple sentences

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with arms and hands. Standing for 8 hours and frequent walking required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually high, proper protective equipment is required.

Base Salary

 

$18.00- $21.00 per hour.
