Sr. Tax Manager
We're offering a competitive salary between $130,000 and $150,000, based on your experience, plus a 15% bonus opportunity.

This is how you WOW:
- Develop and execute tax strategies that align with the company's financial objectives.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax optimization.
- Analyze the potential impact of business decisions on tax liabilities and propose mitigation strategies.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of all required tax returns (income, sales, property, etc.).
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of tax filings to relevant authorities.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to support compliance efforts.
- Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and training.
- Assign tasks, set goals, and monitor performance to ensure the team's effectiveness and professional growth.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business strategies.
- Provide tax insights on mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for tax savings through credits, deductions, incentives, and other strategies.
- Develop and implement tax planning initiatives to optimize the company's overall tax position.
- Assess potential tax risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that internal controls related to tax are in place to minimize audit exposure.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of complex tax issues to provide informed recommendations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legislative changes, and tax planning techniques.
- Prepare and present tax reports, forecasts, and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-tax professionals.
It would be WOW if you would bring this in:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MST, MBA) and/or professional certification (CPA) preferred.
- 7+ years of proven experience in corporate tax, with significant exposure to tax planning, compliance, and strategy.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with manufacturing industry tax considerations is a plus.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in tax software and financial systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
