Credit and Collections Manager

The salary range for this position is $110,000.00 -$120,000.00 depending on experience, with a 15% bonus opportunity under the Karcher Incentive Plan.

This is how you WOW:

  • Maintain effective credit and collections practices to minimize past-due payments and bad debt while preserving laser focus on adherence to all legal and compliance requirements
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure efficient work flow in the processing and handling of delinquent accounts
  • Establish, measure and report on key performance metrics (department level and individual level KPIs) to assess departmental effectiveness and identify areas of weakness/opportunity
  • When necessary, recruit, hire and train new team members and manage staffing to ensure headcount levels are adequate to achieve outlined KPIs
  • Collaborate with Director to develop and manage recovery strategies
  • Identify and recommend enhancements to all credit and collection specific platforms, systems and tools to support operational effectiveness, improve customer experience, and to remain at the forefront of technology in the collections space
  • Liase with IT, Operations, Customer Care, Tax and other departments for to identify system problems or process gaps
  • Drive accountability of deliverables from team members and vendors
  • Manage and coach a team of approximately 10 credit and collections analysts
  • Drive key performance indicators using dashboards recommended and approved. Establish strategies for continuous improvement of metrics and clarity of reporting
  • Serve as the ultimate point of escalation for all past due problem accounts, credit hold decisions, and customer disputes
  • Develop and manage effective collection strategies, aiming to decrease DSO and increase working capital (continuous improvement)
  • Prepare monthly accounts and customer aging reports for distribution to various departments
  • Respond to inquiries from customers, and research/resolve outstanding credit issues
  • Develop new credit policies and procedures aiming to mitigate risk and/or increase efficiency
  • Review A/R ledger and hold daily or weekly touchpoints to discuss problem accounts with team
  • Write credit correspondence, working with legal department as required
  • Review and approve all lien waiver requests from customers
  • Perform analytical review and reporting within Accounts receivable
  • Support ERP and technology upgrade projects related to credit, collections, and A/R as required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 12+ years is required with 8+ years of management experience
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
